Anyways, I guess static told me to work on a festive Halloween Mario Kart map for TF2. It'd be great if you guys could throw some ideas in this thread. So far you guys have proven to be very helpful and creative, so this is probably the best place to come.
Been having some troubles getting SDK to work since the updates. does yours work? Can't get much done on it now.
Is it possible if you can make a melee room that gives you a HHH for every class?
Some things to consider that might not need a lot of work:
▐ Change Color Palette
▐ Change Skybox
▐ Change Sign Decals
Change the explosive barrels to those exploding pumpkins
Turbo signs are on the list of things to do, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to change the color scheme a little. Now I'm not to sure what he said about the sky box. He still has a week or 2 to work on this, but with SDK problems who knows when it will be done.
I will say one thing a curtain area of the map will have a different look.

I saw it update yesterday, but I guess I never had high hopes for hammer anyways.
How about an underground maze/labyrinth that has 1 or 2 Headless Horseless Horsemans walking around in it? (So its like a TF2 Minotaur experience.)

that probably wouldn't work because i don't think a HHH would fit in the underground if it was expanded he would still get stuck on alot of things

I was under the impression that Static was going to make an entire new map, but if not, expanding the underground with proper wall spacing and pathing should work.

Making an entirely new map was a plan i had but since i work 10 hours a day, i don't have much time anymore. If i can get SDK working tonight, i will try and add some stuff to the map for a Halloween update.
Ok cool. Is expanding the underground into a maze too much to ask or what? That's the only idea I have at the moment.

It's possible, but with valve's ever-increasing mapping limitations, expanding much of anything in the map would require us to sacrifice some other part of it. Not to mention that the HHH would have to follow some sort of path, but also decide to chase and attack players on sight.

Same here, but when the server is to packed we need to kick them.
What about 1 team are pure HHH's but with 300 HP and the other team are normal classes but their HP is set to 3000; the normal HP of the HHH. You should turn off engies and scouts. The damage that the HHH team deals is about 400 per axe hit.

We learned first hand that this may crash clients just using the Headless Horseman on everyone.
