Some kids think they'll get admin by backseat moderating (when you moderate even though you do not have clearance to do so). They make up rules and 'enforce' them and !adminalert because I 'said a bad word'. I said crap. Now these kids are spamming !adminalert and will ultimately instigate the removal of !adminalert, just like !votemute and !votekick

Exactly. All these 12 year olds are flaiming and cussing at eachother, they !votemuted each other just to make themselves feel better.

Makes we want to make a plugin to send admin alerts to cell phones, and with a smtp server, receive command replies to respond with chat or command.

Admin alerts aren't that bad right now since most of the problems were with the melee room.

 Now this would be useful for most of us since we have cellphones, and we aren't on all the time. Plus Static and Ninny are the major guys on admin alert watch, where as the rest of us are on call via Steam.

Could we still tie into the server with IRC so we can chat back.

We should make a twist of !voteban or !votekick. The plugin would do:
1. Ask the person who used the command who they want to kick or ban
2. Ask them to enter a reason (e.g shooting in melee room or talking shit about others or admins)
3. Send the kick or ban request to an admin that's online
4. If the admin greenlights it, the system will kick/ban that player. (bans will last 30 minutes, plus player will need to be kicked first in order to be subject of a request for banning)
5. If the admin doesn't approve, the process will be aborted
6. If someone is using the command for stupid reasons (eg h4x1ng) and the request is sent more than 3 times without a greenlight, the player will receive the message,"You are spamming this command. More spamming will result in a 30 min. ban".
7. If they spam it 6 times without the request being greenlighted, they will be banned for 30 minutes.
8. If they come back and continue spamming, the ban time will go up (30 min, 2 hr, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months etc.)
9. The admin will need to come to a game to permaban someone.

I've always taught people to use a ban system like that were the time increases with the number of previous bans. With that said I also try to keep a 3 strike system in place for repeat offenders.

As for a plugin that does this it would be best solution so we can avoid all these problems since it will still need an admin approval to start it.
