Today, I went to the UA mariokart server and found dozens of people having flame wars over this and that (e.g bronies vs. furries was one; also about US politics?!) led to much more flame. This went on for about 1 1/2 hours. So, I thought that if a rule that states no sharing about personal opinions that may upset someone else, to make the server more peaceful.

To sum it all up: Rule: Please do not share your views/opinions/personal info that may upset someone else. This is to make the server more peaceful.

P.S I know someone will be like,"o wow who cares let them b al leik taht there just big babbys", but all this flame/spam/trolling is just ruining the experience of the server. I saw many new people come into the server, stay for about 5 minutes, leave, and never come back. Those could have been more members. Most of them were saying,"wow, this server sucks. no one is actually playing team fortress 2. im going to another server which has people playing, not flaming eachother.
Whoever snuck SCP-504 into the cafeteria kitchen is getting terminated. Those tomato slices are like fucking shuriken. - Dr. Blast

The thing is It's the internet. People say what they want behind their computer screen thinking they are tough...Anyways...Making a rule where people can't talk about what they want to  would make the server strict and that's bad.

That's modern communism in a bottle. America will not stand for this.

We could make a rule like ConvictGaming's

NO POLITICS: Nobody cares who you voted for
There\'s a fine line between not listening and not caring. I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life.

The internet is about freedom of speech and information. This would just start more problems then it solves. The most simple solution is to mute them on your end or ignore it. The less people that feed into the conversation the less likely it will keep going.

Also moved the thread to the server section. Server issues need to be brought up in the server sections not private areas.

I think the best solution to a heated debate about politics is to mic spam music during it.

Everybody gets muted.  It's a win/win for me!

This may or may not start more problems, but it never hurts to try.
